Big Discounts on Two Suites of InDesign Plug-ins

4

Prague, September 29, 2010 — DTP Tools introduces a time-limited discount on several of their products. For one month, the popular Blatner Tools plug-in suite will be available for $99 — that is 1/3 off the regular price!

DTP Tools also introduces a value pack of three popular plug-ins: Page Control, Layer Groups and URL2hyperlink. These three plug-ins cover many of the new CS5 key features, so the value pack is an ideal tool for CS3 and CS4 users skipping the CS5 upgrade. The price of this package of plug-ins is only one-third the cost of an InDesign upgrade. DTP Tools value pack is in stock in the DTP Tools web-store.

  • azabache says:

Just to clarify things, do these plugins work in CS5?

I’m particularly interested in the Style Report plugin.

Even to this day and age, there are clients who require a separate type specs document spelling out, in the most granular way, every single formatting detail.

For a complex book layout this takes almost as long as the original design itself. Budgets being what they are in these recessionary times, a designer will lose money on every job.

If this plugin shortcircuits this process, I’m signing up.

(You get where I’m going with this, fellas.)

  • @asabache: Yes, the PowerStyles plug-in in the Blatner Tools suite has a way to make a report of either paragraph or character styles. Just choose Style Report from the panel menu, and you can choose all or specific styles:

Then, it will export a tagged text file with the data and automatically open it in a new InDesign file:

(Sorry the resolution is so low here, to make it fit. I’ll shoot a video of this soon so you can see it better.)

  • Forgot to mention: Yes, the plug-ins work in CS3, CS4, and CS5. (And later…) ;)
