New Contest! The Transform Panel Mystery

Hey folks, it’s time for another InDesign mystery that you can solve for a chance to win an awesome prize!

Here’s the question: In the screenshot below, the image is selected. Why are there + signs next to the X and Y values in the Transform panel and what do they mean?

Once you know the solution, email it to me at mike at indesignsecrets.com before Wednesday September 23nd, 2015. At that time, I’ll reveal the answer and choose two winners at random from the correct answers.

And those two lucky people will win a copy of Mastermatic from Id-Extras!

20150916-Id_ExtrasLogoThis awesome InDesign add-on helps you automate formatting of long documents by linking up master pages to paragraph styles and object styles. It works on Windows and Mac, and normally goes for $57, but you could have it for free if your name is chosen. So enter now!

Note: Comments are closed on this post while the contest is open so no one gives away the answer.

Also: hat tip to Sandee Cohen for the idea for this month’s mystery.
