I was wondering if anyone has come across issues with hyperlinks not deleting properly? I am working on a large 213 pg, interactive document (it has text anchor hyperlinks as well as url hyperlinks throughout) in InDesign CS 5.5. The document has been updated from last year's file, so when I was ready to tackle the interactivity, I began by first deleting all last year's entries in the 'hyperlinks' palette. Although my hyperlinks list is showing as totally blank, when I try to create my new hyperlink destinations, if they happen to have the same name as a hyperlink from last year, InDesign gives the error message "Another hyperlink destination already exists with this name." Is there something I might be missing here?
To anyone interested, I had to get my programmer partner onto this & he had to actually manually delete all the hyperlinks/hyperlink destinations (which were 'hidden' from view in InDesign) using JavaScript, something I NEVER would have been able to do. He suspects the issue arose because last year's file was created in CS 3 while this year I am working in CS 5.5! Frustrating indeed!
