I’m trying to make a Photoshop PDF file with Text Layers and with the vector information of the text intact. But it’s not working. I need to place this file in a ID-file. Which (Photoshop)settings do I have to take in account? Thanks!

Or should I post this in a Photoshop Forum?

What do you mean it's not working? Can you elaborate on your workflow?

Well, all the text is 'pixelised' and that's not what I want.

I save as a Photoshop PDF. Keep my layers.

General-> Preserve Photoshop Editing

Compression-> Do not downsample – Compression: None

Is this enough info?

The compression settings should not matter (downsampling and compression do not affect type layers).

Have you tried turning on View > Display Performance > High Quality Display? That is the only way you can see if the type is vector or raster in InDesign.

OK, thanks, but I have found something.

Although all the used fonts are loaded on my system, I do get an alert for a font that doesn't seam to appear in the photoshop file. That's maybe the reason that it's not working.

I've tried it with a new document and font, and then it's OK.

So now I have to found out why the font alert is popping up!

Here's a Screen Preview of the alert. FontStatus: Missing. But no yellow triangle on my text layer!

I would suggest setting the type in Indesign rather than photoshop, it'll give you alot more control over all aspects of the process.

Yes, totally agree. In this case that would be no problem.

But it still remains odd. A font bug? The problem could also be my system that's acting strange.

Anyway, I will retype the text in InDesign. Hope this doesn't come back in a more complicated Photoshop file with lots of text layers.

Thanks to you all !!!

If you keep it in Text Layers in the Photoshop file you should be able to use Object>Layer Options and turn off the text layers, in InDesign. This will allow the original photoshop file to retain the type – but you can go ahead and reset it in InDesign.
