I suspect that this is a no brainer for those of you who live in INDesign.  I use it occasionally these days. My sister sent me a CS5 file. When I try to open it I get a list of plugins I need to upgrade.

Is this because she has a different version than me? If so, GRRRRR…. I thought Adobe warned me when I needed to upgrade? Or do they want more $ from me?

Is there a workaround?

THanks as always for this most useful forum.

Are you using CS5? 5.5? As long as you have the same version (choose About InDesign from the InDesign menu on the Mac or the Help menu on Windows), you should be able to open it.
