Does anyone have any good recommendations for a plug-in or app to generate custom slugs as well as crops and folds? We've looking to upgrade what we're using now and I'd like your opinions about what's the latest and greatest. We're using CS 5.5 and would need completely customizable slugs for various stages of creative development as well as ability to build complex print pieces with folds, perfs, etc.
Power Headers from InTools is a good plugin for creating RUNNING HEADS – these can be placed in the slug area – I think as long as the text frame touches the page but the text is in the slug area – that it will work.
I'm not really too clear on what you're asking though? Have you got any examples? There might be a way to do it in InDesign without additonal plugins.
