Hi there!

Has anybody seen a script that will create an example of every paragrapgh style that's loaded in a blank document (showing the actual paragraph style name as the style would be a plus)?

I have a script to export all the paragraph style parameters, but it would be nice to show all my co-workers (Broadvision slaves) who are getting ready to switch to INDD what each style actually looks like. It would also help eliminate any duplicate styles with different names.

Thanks in advance!

There is bound to be one floating around here somewhere but just last week I wrote one from scratch. Look in your post in the Adobe forum.

Brilliant. Thank you!

Now if Adobe would just make the Styles panel do this automatically (as a preference of course!)

It is indeed a brilliant script. I wonder if it is possible to tweak the script so as to list all object styles in the same way as the paragraph styles are listed.

Uh, technically, yeah sure but what sort output are you thinking of? A series of rectangles, each one with an object style assigned to it? How are you going to distinguish different amounts of text wrap, inset, or First Paragraph Style?

I understand that since object styles are fundamentally very different & much more complicated than Paragraph styles, it would not be possible for us to preview all kinds of Object styles, however, was hoping that a majority of the styles can be previewed. Am not sure whether this is possible or not. As for the output, if the object style is a graphic frame, it can be a rectangle, ellipse, whatever & if it is a text frame, can the output be a text frame with placeholder text with the object style preview. As for the text wrap, can it be visible if the preview mode is on?
