IDEAlliance + IPA Conference in Chicago, June 7-8, 2010
There’s a great learning and networking opportunity coming up next week in Chicago for anyone involved in graphic design, prepress, or print production: The 2010 IDEAlliance + IPA Technical Conference. This year, the conference (which includes a vendor Expo) focuses on color, automation, and cross-media workflows, and you can register for one or both days. It’s designed to help you “grab hold of what’s next in graphic communications.”
We were able to sweet-talk the conference organizers into two free passes (each a $169 value) for one or two lucky InDesignSecrets.com readers to one of the special conference events: The Adobe Creative Suite 5 Keynote and Lab, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8.
The keynote will be presented by one of our favorite Adobe people, Noha Edell, the Business Development Manager for Cross-Media Worfklows. She’s based on the east coast (where the NY, NJ, and DC InDesign User Groups are lucky enough to work with her), so I’m tickled she’s making the sojourn to Chicago.
After Noha’s keynote, my good friend Clint Funk will be conducting a hands-on (BYOL: Bring Your Own Laptop) class on using CS5 for cross-media workflows. That’s followed by a cocktail hour where you can hobnob with Adobe team members. A detailed agenda is at the CS5 Keynote & Lab page.
To win one of the two free passes to the special CS5 Keynote/Lab event (not the conference itself, just the CS5 thing–conference attendance is optional), email [email protected] with “IPA 2010” in the Subject line by midnight on Friday, June 4. Include your full name and phone number in the message. We’ll randomly choose 2 winners, and will email them instructions for picking up their free pass to the event on-site.
