InDesign CC 9.2.1 Update Fixes Crashes

2

Some updates add new features, others just fix problems. A small update, InDesign CC 9.2.1, arrived on March 25, 2014, with fixes for some annoying crashes.

The update is available for InDesign CC subscribers either through the Creative Cloud Desktop application, or by choosing Help > Updates… within InDesign.

Briefly, the updates fixes crashes related to Data Merge, Hyperlinks, Cross-references, and a few other areas. A complete list of fixes is found in the release notes here.

I’ve updated my inDesign CC to the latest version but it’s been causing me trouble by not opening some older files and by older I mean from a couple of months ago that were created in either the previous or one prior inDesign version. The files just won’t open, have to force quit the program each time and it won’t recover these files. I’m not entirely sure what the issue is but would like to find a fix as I need to work from some of these files.

Im so frustrated with Adobe CC (illustrator, photoshop, illustrator) – they crash all the time – i feel like i’m in the 90’s when things just didn’t work. i have to rebuild my preferences all the time. Shouldn’t we be over that…!!
