InDesignSecrets Featured in Design Blog Book

I was pleased to receive a huge, full-color book in the mail this week — a book called Blogs: Mad about Design, published by Maomao in Spain. Each spread (there are several hundred) profiles one blog that focuses on professional design. And while InDesignSecrets is more about how to use pro design tools, the folks at Maomao thought it fitting to include us in the book. We even made it on to the cover… along with a few dozen others (the cover is designed like an alphabetical index, listing many of the blogs inside).

Unfortunately, I’m sorry to say that the screen captures they used were from long ago, in our previous design. But that’s okay… we’re already looking at doing another site redesign to fit in all the other cool goodies we’re going to be launching later this year.

Here is another nice write-up of this book, with more (and much prettier) illustrations.

Errr? Isn’t this book basically out of date already? How many of the blogs in the book are going to look the same now the book has published (the InDesign Secrets entry is already out of date) or even be around in a years time? Could be useful for drawing traffic to blogger’s sites I suppose, but for the reader?

@Tony: I think the point of the book isn’t necessary the “look” of the blog, which is forever changing anyway — it’s to point people to cool blogs about cool design stuff.
