From what I am reading here and elsewhere on the Web, I will wait as late as possible to switch from Apple System 10.4.11 to Leopard, because I don't have any time to loose with instability or serious problems. The System 10.4.11 is perfectly stable for me. So I will need very serious reasons to switch to Leopard.

When somebody will say OK, the integration is perfect with Adobe CS3 Suite! Then I will make the switch.

I'm on 10.5.4 and reinstalled CS3...the hiding issue still persists and I never had the crash problem with saving until now. I might switch back to Quark. Of course I'm kidding. It's just kind of lame that such a simple feature can be so important and no one seems to be able to do anything about it.

Steve, although that work around never worked for me when I was running 5.0.2 on 10.5.3, it seems to work just fine now with 5.0.3 and 10.5.4.
Thanks for the reminder! I'm glad I gave it another try - it was the only real bugbear I had with IDCS3.

Congratulations to Apple and Adobe for solving these problems. I've had Leopard installed on two computers (one PPC, one Intel), and have had the Hide InDesign problem, but haven't had the crashing problem.

I found a workaround for the Hide InDesign problem that seems to work for me on both computers. After rebooting the computer, I launch InDesign. When it comes up, I immediately quit, then launch it a second time. Now, I'm able to reliably hide the application.
