Michael’s New Apartment

Have you seen Michael Murphy’s new place? It’s great!

We’re speaking, of course, about his new online home at TheInDesigner.com. After over a year of being “roomies” with us at InDesignSecrets.com, we agreed with Michael that the best way for him to achieve his professional goals was for him to once again host his blog and podcast as an independent site. Moving day was February 1.

Luckily, in the online world, “moving” doesn’t entail rental trucks or long-distance charges. It feels like he moved right next door. We’ll be sharing tricks and commenting on each other’s blog posts and video/podcast episodes just as we’ve always been.

We’re thrilled with Michael’s continued success and growing name recognition in the InDesign community. It speaks not only to his sublime expertise and knock-em-dead videocasts, but also to the robust and constantly-growing audience of end users who enthusiastically support independent sources of real world InDesign tips and techniques.

Our audiences got to know each other while we shared the same roof, and we hope those relationships continue to grow and flourish now that there are two URLs to bookmark.

In case you’re wondering, we’ll continue to carry all of Michael’s previous videocasts, podcasts, blog posts and your comments to his posts at the same Videocast link here on InDesignSecrets. Except for comments from InDesignSecrets users, Michael’s site will carry them too, as well as all new videocasts and TheInDesigner blog posts. So bookmark TheInDesigner now!

And for those of you who love the free video tutorials at InDesignSecrets, don’t worry — we’re working on some, too! More sources of videos = more fun for everyone.

Michael, congratulations on getting the site up and going. It looks fantastic and I’ll be sure to stop by for a cup of tea and a chat.

Michael, your video casts are the best I have seen and I’ve picked up so many valuable tips. I will pop over to the new site for a cappuccino. Good luck with it.

    Man…I’m gonna need more ice!

Thanks everybody — especially David & Anne-Marie for the housewarming wishes. Hoping to see a lot of everyone in both places.

I’ve tried this link but I get an error saying it cannot access the website. What’s up?

The site may have been down temporarily? Seems to be working now.

Sorry about the problems accessing the site. My hosting company was performing a server move and it shut me down for about 8 hours this weekend. But it’s up and running again…with a brand new episode posted, too.
