No App Is an Island Contest

3

If you’re reading InDesignSecrets, you likely spend a fair bit of your day inside InDesign. But you likely dip into other Adobe products, too: You may create or edit images in Photoshop or Illustrator, use Acrobat to produce files for printing or digital delivery, and so on. You’ve figured out a way to make those products work well together, and that efficiency saves you money.

Now there’s a new way to turn your hard-earned knowledge into something valuable: the No App Is an Island contest!

Simply submit a tutorial that explains your multi-product workflow, and you could win a $100 Amazon.com gift card, or even the grand prize: a year’s membership to Adobe’s Creative Cloud. (Already have a membership? You can extend it with this prize.)

Adobe will also publish your tutorial and promote it on their social channels, giving you valuable publicity.

You can enter at https://adobe.ly/QSsiHo. Just don’t wait too long. The contest ends on November 15, 2012!

    Hi, Anne-Marie!

Hm. You should have pointed out that to contribute you have to be a “resident or citizen of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec)”?

I’m quoting the fine print here. By the way, what did Quebeccan residents to Adobe to be excluded here?

I’m out of the game, because I’m living in Germany?

    Uwe

  • Terri Stone says:

    Thanks for your comment, Uwe.

The geographical restriction is an unfortunate result of the many rules and restrictions governing contests in countries around the world. For example, Adobe would love to have opened this contest to residents of Quebec, but we would have had to translate all materials related to the contest into French before doing so. The schedule and budget of this particular contest didn’t allow for that.

Future contests will, hopefully, be less restricted geographically.

We have a weird law about lotterie in Quebec. We are mostly excluded of every contest not specifically set up to work in the province :-(
