Rorohiko Advises User of Active Page Item Runtime or APID ToolAssistant to Update Plugins

Rorohiko has issued an advice to all users of earlier versions of its Active Page Item Runtime or APID ToolAssistant plugins to upgrade to latest versions.

The updated versions fix issues which cause InDesign to crash when opening files that were created by another party using a later version of the plugins. The update is free and can be downloaded from this page.

    Thanks for the advice, Bob.

When I went to get my updated plug, it turned out I already had it and downloaded it in November last year. So it’s not so much about a ‘new’ plug-in (which indeed you never claimed it was), but more an encouragement for dawdlers to pull their finger out and finally update what should have been done months ago.

    A bit of a plug, perhaps? ;)

    FYI,

If you’re using any of our updated plugins, make sure you’re using an even newer version which can be downloaded from here.

This (among other things) fixes a bug which could cause a missing plug-in warning when the document is subsequently opened in a copy of InDesign without APID installed.

There is a thing I can’t understand with APID.
When I have a text with latin and arabic characters, how can I give the right direction for each one?
For exmple, when I’ve given the right to left for the Arabic characters even the latin are reversed. I must take to the left to right, but the option Character Direction let me change only one word a time, so I change all manually. Is not there any other way to change them?
