Secrets of the InDesign Masters: Seminar Tour Announced

ids-live_logo1InDesignSecrets today announced the beginning of their 2010 Adobe InDesign seminar tour, including one-day events in Minneapolis, MN; Secaucus, NJ; Austin, TX; Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; and many other cities around North America. Information can be found at indesignsecretslive.com.

The InDesignSecrets seminar tour focuses on making InDesign users more efficient and productive in their workflow, and each fast-paced day covers:

  • The Top 10 Techniques every InDesign user needs to know
  • Automating formatting and styles for maximizing your productivity
  • Troubleshooting: What to do when things (inevitably) go wrong
  • 10 free scripts plug-ins and add-ons that will make you very, very happy
  • Covers InDesign CS2, CS3, and CS4

“These days, InDesign users have to do the work of two or three people, so it’s crucial that they learn techniques for getting the most out the program,” noted industry expert and presenter David Blatner. “We’re sharing the hard-won secrets of the InDesign masters here, so that every attendee will get more done, faster, and at a higher quality than ever before.”

Along with the full-day seminar, registered attendees will receive over $100 in free materials, including a one-year subscription to InDesign Magazine (current subscribers will have their subscription extended), a a set of two great InDesign plug-ins and 10 must-have InDesign scripts (valued at $50), and The InDesignSecrets Top 40 Tips eBook (normally $10). There will also be door prizes drawn at each event for books, posters, and software.

Anne-Marie Concepción, who is presenting several of the seminars, pointed out that “the value of the seminar goes way beyond a day of training — we’ve heard from previous attendees that a tip learned even in the first hour is worth the cost of the whole day.”

I’d like to know if you are planning this seminar in Boston, or if the list as shown on indesignsecretslive is complete. Thanks!

I’ m disappointed that Albuquerque, New Mexico, isn’t on the list.

@Jerry and @RThomas: Both Boston and Albuquerque are on our minds, but not on the list for the first half of 2010. But we’ll bump those up a notch for “where to go next”!

(Besides, it’s been too long since I went to Gabriel’s outside of Santa Fe… oh, the guacamole!)

Wait a minute, I thought *I* called dibs on New Mexico … ;-)

We love Gabriel’s! In fact, I was going to suggest you hold your seminar in Santa Fe, but I think Abq gives you a bigger pool to draw from and probably better economics. Either way, we’ll go to Gabriel’s. There’s a train from Abq to Santa Fe now. We can meet you at the Railyard.

I take it Ireland didn’t make it in this circle of seminars then? ;P

If I get a chance to travel to the States this year I’ll try and make it coincide with a seminar, two birds and one stone. A trip isn’t on the cards – but you never know.

    Good luck with your seminars.

Will you be offering an educational discount for this seminar? We have several Pre-press and Designers who would benefit from this event.

BTW, it would be great to have you come to the tri-state CT, NY or RI area. In that order! :)

Very excited when I saw your web ad, clicked and then became so very bummed when I didn’t see Washington DC on the list!!

Please consider coming to DC or Baltimore – we have many, many publications here, therefore designers who put them together and tons of possible venue sites. Plus we would love to have InDesign Secrets visit us!

Okay, the DC and tri-state areas are officially being considered for later in the year! Thanks!

Secaucus is in the NYC tri-state area and is just minutes from Manhattan. Maybe I’ll pop in for that one. :)

I am far from Albuquerque these days, yet lived there for several years as a child – And since then, I have always wanted to go back for the world’s largest hot air balloon festival in October… Maybe the seminar in October could just do it for me to have to go…?….
