If you’re using InDesign CC or later, you can quickly see how different fonts look in your layout. Just select the text and use your up/down arrow keys to browse through the Fonts menus in the Control or Character panels. When you find the font you want, just click its name or press Return/Enter to apply it.

If you’re using InDesign CC 2015, you can try out fonts even faster by moving your cursor over them in the Fonts menus (don’t click) and pressing the Command/Ctrl key. When you find the font you want, just click its name or press Return/Enter to apply it.
