Tip of the Week: Turn Off Multiple Layers Simultaneously

InDesign’s layers are great, but sometimes you can end up with so many layers that it gets confusing. To instantly hide all layers except one, hold the Option/Alt key and click the eye icon of the layer you want to remain visible.

This tip I use across the suite – if I’m not mistaken the same holds true for Illustrator and Photoshop. In fact I tried it in ID from using it in PS – works the same, except without the downside from PS in that if you mess around and reveal another single layer, Photoshop won’t remember all your previously visible layers. Back up on the History palette and start again for that.
