I recently discovered the Alternate Layout in CC. I created 4-5 alt layouts of my original art (each at a different size).
Now when I change text on the original, it doesn’t change the other pages, it shows the yellow yield sign but when I click it it gives me this message, “Edits have been made in the linked story “<my edited info>”. You will love these edits by updating them. Update anyway? [No] [Yes]
If I hit [yes] it updates the info, but puts it back to the original text size (which I do NOT want)
Can I edit this somehow so it keeps the text formatting? Or what else do I need to o?
This article might help: https://creativepro.com/indesign-how-using-alternate-layout/
Thanks David, I tried to go through that article, but didn’t see anything about sizing issues.. I can make an alternate copy, but once I RESIZE the font on the new layout (child), it becomes problematic and gives me that warning window if I try to edit the ‘parent’ text. There is one important item I am missing, just trying to figure out what it is.
