Hi,
is it somehow possible to assign a paragraph style automatically depending on the “value” of a odd or even page? I didn’t find a variable for odd/even page numbers or something like this. I would like to do something like: “add paragraph style ‘footer left’ on even pages, but add paragraph style ‘footer right’ on odd pages”.
Best regards,
Ulrich
Hi,
why not use different masterpages for right and left?
Otherwise it is not possible to distinguish between even and odd pages, but a script can do this.

Or you could use the align “align away from spine” feature if you are just changing the alignment on even/odd pages.
Hi,
@Kai I thought masterpages were not an option because I have to put information on the left and right pages individually (actually a lot of pages with different fonts — the footer displayes the font infos).
@Skemicle Indeed, for this example I do need only alignment changes. But I’m looking for a general solution.
Hm, the problem is, what controls the different informations on the page, since masterpages would display only static content or content from a textvariable.
So how to collect things and display them in dependance of even and odd pages?
To give a good answer a example document before / after is needed. First I would look, what is possible with InDesign, then I would think about a script, that put things together.
So, please provide a example for all or sent me a testfile with some comments to infoATruebiarts.de
