We have several hundred PDF files (8.5×11) that we would like to apply a copyright line to.

Is there a quick way/batch method to place these files in InDesign and then be able to apply the copyright using a master page?

The other option is using Acrobat Pro to apply the copyright.

Not all the files will need the same copyright line. It will be as follows:
      First line: All same copyright
Second line: This song has specific copyright info (applies to maybe 10 PDFs). Another 10 will have a different second line.

      Any suggestions are appreciated!

My first thought would be using data merge. I use it for books that have been scanned, merged into a PDF and need to be replaced into InDesign page by page for one reason or another. You would have to export all the PDF pages as single files and then create a CSV with the image path and copyright info lines, then data merge them into an InDesign document. It would still be a decent project getting all the info into the CSV but once there would be a solid database and info could be changed fairly easily later.

Thanks! Great idea. I’ll have to do some research on data merging into ID. Not something I’ve tackled before.
