Hello,
I’m creating a catalog with a lot of products in multiple indesign files. I’ll be finishing this catalog in a couple of weeks and I am now looking for a way to create an index with all the articlenumbers of all the products. I’ve been searching for tutorial how to do this but I can’t seem to find a way to do this without having to give al these articlenumbers a certain paragraph style. The numbers I want to reference to are all in tables which have a paragraph style for the whole table:
Art. Nr. Format Unité de vente
100420960 44x159mm 10
100420961 24x159mm 10
I was hoping that maybe the fact that all our products have articlenumbers containing 9 numbers would help in automating a “search” to find al these 9-numbered pieces of text and than create an index of that.
Is this possible to do without creating paragraph styles?
Kind regards,
Tom
If someone has the same question, i’ve found the answer myself:
To find a article number in indesign hit control+F, choose GREP and type in \d{9}
This wil find all series of numbers containing 9 numbers in a row.
