InDesign is creating a blank page after an image that I’m not able to remove. It doesn’t show up on the iBooks reader, but for the Android (Play Books), it does.
Title Text: Paragraph Style > Named Style A> Export Tagging > Split Document (EPUB Only)
Image: 231X314, JPEG, Anchored > Above Line > Centered
InDesign’s inserted: BLANK PAGE
Chapter Section: Paragraph Style > Named Style B >Export Tagging > Split Document (EPUB Only)
Chapter text with Paragraph Style…etc.
Hi Dales,
Check in your css in your epub.
If you find the style affecting where this image is, a <p> style, and you find a line saying ” break after: always” delete this line. Check it again.
Or it could be caused by an empty <div> below this image.
Anyway this can originates from your InDesign styles, if you set for example a title to start on next odd page or something like that.
Good luck!
Hey thanks Marie,
I found the “break after: always” line and deleted it. Tested on an Android, the extra page remains. I’ve noticed with the example files on Lynda.com as well. After splitting up chapters with tags, it still wants to include an extra page with a horizontal layout of the device. This must be a common issue because other EPUBS don’t do this.
