I have a 136 page catalog with over 1,000 links that include tracking code for Google Analytics. This catalog is being distributed as a PDF at an upcoming trade show on a CD. We will also be putting it on our website for download and I need to change all of that code to reflect the different source. and I’m hoping there is a way to find and replace one part of the tracking code without having to do it all manually. I’ve tried using the technique described in this article: https://creativepro.com/batch-change-hyperlinks-across-a-whole-indesign-document.php to no avail. I’m using InDesign CC 2015.

Anyone have ideas out there? Setting up the links the first time took almost a week, I really don’t want to have to do it all again.

Why did the tip in that article not work for you?

Did you see the various additional suggestions in the Comments section at the end of that article?

David, my problems occurred when trying to reopen the document in InDesign. I’m not giving up yet though. Will try some of the other options.

Hire a hungry freelancer — me, for instance! But yeah, do try that above fix. I hope it works for you :)

      LOL Ellen!

I discovered my problem. My computer system was set up to use Stuffit Expander to open the .zip file. When I switched from that to Windows Explorer it worked perfectly! Woohoo!
