This may be totally outside of this forum’s subjects, but if possible please help me:
I am in the process of publishing a large 400+ pages book (produced with ID) in the European A4 format (21 x 29.7 cm approximately equal to 8.27″ x 11.69″). Of course all measurements (gutters, bleeds, text block sizes and graphics boxes are in European units (millimeters and centimeters). I chose ClearSpace to print and distribute this book because of this firms wide reach, mainly in the US.
The problem that I am facing is that their system of receiving PDFs online is unable to deal with the European system of measurements and converts everything back to English units. The conversions generate differences which the system claims to create errors (measurements outside of the company’s standards even if the converted number(s) is only some few decimal points out).
Needless to say that to rework a layout (changing the units to inches) of an over 400 pages book is out of question.
Based on the above, this is the help I am asking: Is there any American print-on-demand company that is able to handle European book measurement units and also do the sales/distribution in the US and Europe as ClearSpace does?
If discussing print-on-demand companies is not allowed by this forum I apologize for having submitted this thread.
Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I’m not going to recommend or advise on this, but I think LightningSource can handle it:
https://www1.lightningsource.com/ops/files/pod/TrimSizeMatrix.pdfYou can also try Lulu.com or perhaps amazon’s Createspace
