Bookmarks are not my friend right now. I spent hours on them yesterday. I started with the foundation of the TOC. But that wasn’t quite right (nesting problems) so I reorganized them for 2-3 hours (it’s a 300 page book) and then I was very careful not to let any new TOC changes override the bookmarks (which it kept doing until I unchecked the button that has the TOC create bookmarks). Somehow innocently worked on other things today (setting up hyperlinks) only to export and find my bookmarks are GONE. why did this happen (I didn’t touch the TOC) and more importantly Is there a way to save them? I know I probably can’t go back in time but the author continues to make tiny changes (h-hmmm–I’m sure you’ve been there) and I’m hoping to create the bookmarks only one more time with the assurance that they will not go anywhere as I attempt to finish this project.
Ideas??
Thanks so much,
marisa
