      Hey Guys

I hope this question hasn’t been asked yet. If so, kindly answer with the URL of the post. Thanks a lot.

I am looking for a way to automate something I’ve been doing manually for a while now.

      Here is the scenario:

I have a pragraph that uses a single dropcap charater of a different font. That charater is unfortunally too close to the rest of the paragraph so I need to adjust the kerning to 60 to get the appropriate space. How would I do that automatically using charater/paragrahps styles?

This is what I have so far:

I’ve created a paragraph style. That paragraph style points to a character style that applies the other font to the drop cap. But I haven’t found a way to apply additional kerning to the dropcap and/or the character right after it.

Anne-Marie Concepcion’s video from 2011 about dropcaps unfortually ends exactly when she’s facing the exact same issue… :-(

      Thanks is advance

For your drop cap character style sheet, track it 60. It will then push things over.

It’s hard to explan, but when you put tracking on the drop cap, it puts the space on the right-hand side.
