Hi all,
I think the answer may be “No” to this, but here goes anyway:
I’m working on a catalogue and on each page there are multiple tables, which have been imported from previous issues. Each table has slightly different column widths, and I need to make the column widths consistent throughout the document.
I don’t have the option of combining the separate tables into one table, as each table is referenced in an external content management system, and combining the tables will break these links.
So my question: Is it possible to select multiple tables so I can edit the column widths to be consistent?
Don’t think so – table styles don’t offer you column widths.
You can reduce the pain a little by making the standard widths nice round numbers, then selecting column by column and typing those numbers in the column width box that appears either in the Table palette or in the top toolbar.
It is possible to paste all the rows of one table into another table which already has the correct column widths (i.e. a template), but if yours are linked to a content management system, that doesn’t sound like an option.
Chris.
