Has anyone else run into this issue where when you open Extension Manager to install an InDesign plugin you can’t because it doesn’t recognize that you have InDesign installed? Anyone know how to fix this?

Haven’t seen that. I’d quit and restart the Creative Cloud app. Make sure Extension Manger is updated via the CC app, too. Maybe even uninstall extension mgr and reinstall it.

(The extension manager has always been flakey and I always try to avoid it when possible. Tho it has been getting much better in the last year or so.)

Thanks David, I’ll have to try that. It might be hard to do a reinstall here at work (I’m currently on 10.6.8, pre-CC app) so I guess Ill just accept the fact that I cant use any .zxp plugins (unless there is another way to instill the .zxp files without using EM), but I was noticing the same issue at home on Mavericks so I will give your suggestions a try at home and hopefully something will work :)

I’m not sure if this will help or not, but we had a problem at work last week.

When we all upgraded to the “Cloud,” a month or so back, we all got CC2014. We didn’t know that CC was still available (it is, but it’s a screwed up way to get it). Anyway–I googled it and we got CC installed on all the machines. EXCEPT for one. It refused to show the CC download option.

We called Adobe and 20 minutes later the option appeared.

You may want to call them. They even said the Extension Manager was buggy.

And don’t get me going on how buggy it is with XTags. One minute I can open a file, the next minute I’m told it’s either incompatible or out-of-date (even though it’s the latest available). I hate this
