I am lost with this problem. Maybe somebody knows the solution? I make a lot of stickers but sometimes the print shows weird boxes.
for a Ledlamp sticker design I have to import an image of a lamp. I make a square with the image box tool and import a PNG image without background in the image box. Under the image is a rectangular shape in cmyk green. (no overprint). When I make a PDF I set the settings on: PDF 2001 – I use flatten transparency setting / or hight quality / convert to destination /etc, 300 dpi… Just like when it is going to press.
But when people print the pdf on a printer, the image shape (not the image box where the image is in) itself appears like it has a filling set on multiplay 10%. It is not visible in the pdf nor in the seperate cmyk plates of the pdf.
No mather what I do it keeps appearing.
greets, shawn.

Why are you using PNG – use TIFF or PSD for raster images. For vector images use .ai.
