OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 & OS X El Capitan 10.11.2
Adobe InDesign CC 2015.2 Release, 11.2.0.99 BuildIt appears that preferences which used to be global settings, are no longer applied in this way. You used to configure settings in Preferences and every file that was opened would use those. Now, settings configured with an open file are retained with that file. If another user (presumably with their own global settings) opens that file, the settings in effect when it was saved are suddenly applied to the other user’s InDesign application.
This is incredibly annoying, counter-productive, and frankly disappointing. As a power InDesign user, with a specific workflow designed to suit me and the way that I use the program, I am now forced to work within settings that are counter-intuitive to me. On a large design team that creates hundreds of files, it is not unreasonable to assume that my Interface color theme can change from dark to light with every existing file that I open.
This has been noticed, tested, and verified by my team of designers, and we cant find anything that restores global settings that Adobe removed in their latest update.
Wondering if others are aware of this change?

Can anyone else confirm that ID is doing this? I have not heard about that and it doesn’t happen for me. I have the new version of ID, and use Yosemite 10.10.5.
I wonder if there is something else going on, with a third-party plug-in, or script, or…? Have you tried rebuilding preferences on all the workstations?

I haven’t noticed anything that drastic between files shared between my coworker and I, the only settings I’ve seen come across on someone else’s computer was script (StyLighter) related.
