Hi – I had a colleague help out with some templates that I previously had worked on. After sending them back to me packaged up and ready to review, I opened her file only to find that all of the links (that were indesign files) within this one document had a warning symbol next to them with the link status of ‘A linked file within this placed item is modified’. It looks like the links palette is showing not just the indd file that was placed into the doc, but also the images associated with that indd file placed within this doc (going into more detail than usual). What does that mean and can I fix the issue from my end? We were both working on CS5.
Thanks!
You will need to open the InDesign document that was placed into your InDesign document (just select it in Links panel and click Edit Original button). Then fix the links. Then save and close. That should do it.
Hi David – You are a lifesaver!!! It worked :)
Thank you so much and a very Happy Wednesday to you.
