I am trying to downsize a file to the smallest PDF size I can get in Indesign CC and I get a “THE PDF DOCUMENT CONTAINED IMAGE MASKS THAT WERE NOT DOWNSAMPLED.” I need to have the file below a meg and 4 other files I did downsized correctly and they were all the same size. I made all of the pngs and the jogs into tiff and eps files. That didn’t do anything. Need any suggestions at all.
If you do have masks, see if you can use paths instead, then flatten the images. Or rethink the layout to eliminate the masks, perhaps by layering images in Photooshop and saving a flattened TIF.
