Hey Guys,
I’m trying to create my own variable, but im stuck a some point.
I would like to creat a vraiable based on the ‘image name’ variable. In the end I’m looking for something that looks like this:
Figure (section marker) – (number) (title of the image) -> Figure 1 – 1 this looks awesome.jpeg
I found something via numbering to use Figure as prefix, to get the number and counting and the title of the image. The only thing I cant get done is to get an automatic section number. Right now I’m using ^H-^#, to get the numbers, is there any other command to get the section marker instead of the ^H or am I completely wrong?
Any help would be wonderful!
Cheers Arie
There are many ways to do figure numbering, including:

I would use a live caption to get the image title.
You can get the section marker from insert special characters > markers > section
