I often import lengthy Word docs into Indesign and create layouts for a client that publishes online pdf documents. In the Word documents are usually about 10 urls that need to be changed to “click here” once they are in Indesign, while retaining their hyperlink. The only way I’ve known to do this is highlight the url, copy it, replace the url by typing in “click here” and then paste the url into the hyperlink window. Is there a more automatic, quicker, or easier way to do this?
What I normally do is type “Click Here” after the first character, then delete the URL.

Can you answer another question for me? What is a ‘shared destination’? I’ve googled and still can’t work out why you can chose it to be ‘shared’ or not? What’s the advantages of ticking it, or unticking it?
