Working on a 200+ pg book in InDesign CC 2014. I need to place some PDF Charts that the client wants to appear on a full page, near where the text references it–so, for example, if the left hand page refers to the chart, the chart would be the full right hand page. I know how to do in-flow/anchored objects, but they would be inserted into the spot where the reference is and then the copy would stop at that point and continue after the inserted object. I want the copy on the left to continue, but have my PDF somehow be anchored so that as pages before it change, I don’t have to manually move the charts. The charts can be on a left or right page.
Hope this is clear and any suggestions, instructions, appreciated.

I don’t know if this will help, but…
When I have full page art that needs to be anchored, I anchor it to a hard return following the paragraph in which it was called out. And I create a paragraph style sheet for it that has zero leading. That way I don’t have that extra space between the paragraphs. I center it just so I can see it better.
Then I select the art and go to the anchored object options and select custom. You will have tweak the settings, but if you use custom, you can drag the art to the facing page, where it will stay, unless you have major reflow (i.e., so much reflow that the anchored paragraph return moves to another page.
I haven’t done that in a while because the printer in our shop doesn’t like it, and prints the page with the art as a blank, though I think the PDFs were fine. But I need print proofs to send to the customer, and if they don’t print right, I can’t send. And I print proofs first to be sure everything is okay.
I basically decided not to anchor full size art if I have to drag it to a facing page, though InDesign is supposed to support such a thing I believe.
It can be done, but I don’t know how output would be (depending upon your printer).
EDIT: You may be able to do same dragging thing if you use custom and the anchored object is in-line. The text flow seems to continue below if you drag it over.

Thanks. I actually tried something similar and it works ok — I anchored the chart and gave the chart runaround and then positioned on the facing page. However, when there is more than one chart reference on a page I can’t anchor the chart to the 2nd reference and then position the chart on the following spread, so may have to figure something else out.
