I would be very thankful if somebody could solve the mystery.
I tried to install Type 1 fonts to Win 7. First I copied the pfm and pfb files into the Windows/Fonts library. It did not work. The system does not show these fonts. Second I right clicked on the pfm files, the install option did not show up, so that was another dead-end street. Third I installed a font manager program but happened the same, the fonts did not appear in the system and in InDesign as well. Could somebody tell me what is the problem. What did I overlooked? Thanks in advance.

i haven’t had the pleasure of working much within the win-7 environment … but seems there is a world of hurt out there when it comes to postscript-fonts and win-7. have a read for yourself, gabor … perhaps some insight may come for you:

Do they work if you put them (both PFB and PFM) in the Document Fonts folder for your InDesign files?

Pnamajck: Thank you for your answer, but no success any of theses pages. Maybe the reinstall would solve the problem. But too much of a hassle for me, ’cause I have an urgent work to do.
ThompsonText: I don’t know which folder you mean. Is it the directory of the publication ?

Yes, you make a folder named Document fonts (exactly like that) at the same level as the publication, and put fonts dedicated to the publication in there. See also here: https://creativepro.com/document-fonts-work.php
I’ve had ancient fonts that worked with InDesign from this folder, but not in the normal system font folders. That was on a Mac though, but it seems that InDeisgn bypasses the operating system for fonts stored in this special folder.

Thank you I will try that. Maybe the last chance.
