I am using keep with next feature in my project. However when I place an object of 2 columns with jump object option the para coming above the object do not jump but few lines above the object and few below the object while I want the whole para of each column to jump the object

Qamar, my experience with the “keep with next” was/is very bad. Mainly if you use vertical justification for columns or individual text frames. My recommendation is ‘stay away from it!’ Eugene’s suggestion is good, (I have used it) but depending on many variables of given paragraphs it will not behave the way you wish. I use ID CS6, maybe in CC Adobe has improved this poor behavior.

I do work with a newspaper. When working in quark xpress 4.1 we just flow the text of classified about 10 pages. When we place a picture box of 2 or 3 columns in the centre or anywhere on the page the ad was jumping below the picture box if its lines was not accommodating above the pictrue box. But in InDesign it simple breaks the ad above and below the picture box with the same setting as was in Quark Xpress. I am used to give only Keep With Next Option. I cannot try the start option as Eugene Tyson suggests because I want to keep the whole classified ad either above the picture or below it.
So think the right solution.
Thanks for replying anyway.

If you want the whole paragraph to stay together, then turn on “All Lines in Paragraph” in the Keep Options dialog box. That will keep the whole paragraph together.
If you want to post a picture on https://imgur.com or someplace else then link it here, that might help us understand.
It is possible that you also need to adjust the settings in the Text Wrap panel.

The Keep options only go into effect when the paragraph/lines are at the bottom of a column or threaded frame. They’re designed to keep all of the lines in the paragraph together *in a column* (in a multi-columned frame) or in a *frame* (when the frame is threaded from one to the next).
They don’t apply when an object is causing text wrap in the middle of a column or frame, though that would be a great feature request. ;D
If you moved that object to the bottom of the frame, then you’d see what you want … paragraphs jumping to the top of the next column in order to keep their lines together.
To get the Keeps to work with your layout, you’d have to split the columns into two, top half and bottom half, one above the wrapped object and a threaded one below it. ;-(
