Left-to-Right default when placing text

      Hello!

      I am new to the forum. You guys are awesome!

      My problem is that sometimes, when I place text in the ID file, the text direction is Right-to-Left.
      I set up my defaults as follows:
      – Paragraph: left to right
      – Type tool: type
      – Story: left to right
      – Document setup: binding, left to right
      – Character/character direction: left to right

      Please if someone knows of a solution to this problem let me know.

      Are you placing a Word document? RTF? Is it Hebrew or Arabic? After you import it, and place the cursor in the text, do you see a + symbol in the Paragraph Styles panel, next to the style? Is there a style applied to it in the Character Styles panel?

      I am importing Word files. Not Hebrew or Arabic. Usually English or Slovenian language. There is no + symbol in the style and no nested character styles. Do you think the problem could be in the word files?
