      Hi,

Is anyone familiar with a script which can perform multiple data merges? I know about the Kasyan Servetsky “Batch export indd-files to pdf.jsx ” and use it often. However, I would like a script or plugin which performs data merges.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

      Regards,
      Greg

      Hi,

Not aware of such a script but should be doable. Have you envisioned hiring a freelancer ?

I use a script called inline merge when I need to do multiple merges in one document. On occasion I also use a script called csv to tables to data merge to a table.

Both scripts can be found here in InDesign Secrets.

@kboulier74 thanks for your reply. I am familiar with both of the scripts you mention. However, what I need is a way for InDesign to process multiple data merge “files” not records. Apologies if this wasn’t clear in the original post.

@evgenytr Thanks for your reply. Since this post, I received a script which meets my basic needs written by Colin Flashman. He expressed an interest in making it available some time in the future to the public if others have a need for it.

Hey @gamourning, are you willing to share the script you received from Colin Flashman? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Colin Flashman here, the author of the script being discussed.

Sometimes, there are reasons that I don’t post the scripts to my website. It can be a commercial in-confidence, it may still be under alpha or beta testing, or I just don’t think it’s popular enough to warrant spending time in developing. In this case, the script was a bespoke request. That said, if you have an interest in the script, please contact me directly via my website – colecandoo.com. By doing this, I can also email any updates to the script in case there are issues with the script.
