I’m wrestling with some unsightly gaps in my epub, where a text subhead is directly followed by an image. I have set my book up so that images begin on a new page, but where the image directly follows a subhead the break looks awful.
What I propose as a workaround is to place a small white (invisible) strip immediately before the subheads preceding an image. I will use Object Export Options to insert a page break before the strip, so that the strip appears at the top of a page, followed directly by the subhead and then the following image (with Insert Page Break Before Image turned off).
Are there any drawbacks to this hack which I should consider before I implement it across my book?
Thanks
Chris
