place dialog box is gone!

      When I try to place a image the dialog box is missing; i can only click the image and that’s it. Indesign is no longer replacing the existing image (even i it is selected while importing). I know I can get this dialog box when clicking shift but I just want it back where it should be.. below in the import dialog.. Help?
      Indesign CC2014/ Latest version. Mac os X yosmite.

      and.. My export as and save as options are gone as well.
      I would like to save a page as jpg but I cannot select any options.
      Save as. Same. No option to select anything. Indesign idml, indesign previous version.. everything is gone..

      need help :(

      Deleting pref’s does not help…

      That is very strange. If you try to log in to your computer with a different account (like the Guest account), does it work? My guess is that it is a system problem, not an InDesign problem.

      Sorry, but I can’t think of anything. If it doesn’t change when you are logged in as a different user, or after deleting preferences, then something has gone very, very wrong. You may have to reinstall InDesign. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling from the Creative Cloud app?
