So I have a fairly long book that I’ve moved into InDesign from Word. I recreated all of my previous sections based on the chapters and they were working well enough until I started adding images. I now see that the pages that have been marked as section starts remain the same regardless of changes in content that would push then around.
So for example, when I initially set the start of chapter 2 for page 17 and marked it with the appropriate master page it was correct. Then after adding some images to chapter one, the content was pushed down and the first page of chapter 2 moved to page 18. However, the section break remained at page 17 and the master page definitions also remained associated with the original pages. So now my section break is in the wrong place and the master page applications are incorrect as well.
Is there a way to may section breaks dynamic so that they move along with the content as it changes?
Not that I know of, sorry.
