Dear All,
I am not an expert in networking, however we are a small team of 3 designers and 8 editorial staff. We want to utilize the use of InCopy & InDesign together through a network. To my understanding we need a server (computer) with sharing capabilities, where designers will save files and Editorial staff will open those files through InCopy and make allowed changes.
Now, my question is what kind of server/computer should I buy keeping number of users in mind. Should I go for an iMac Intel Core 2.8GHz (quad-core) i5Processor with 1TB of hard disk and 16GB of RAM ?..
Please advise on the device that I should buy for file sharing server. Secondly, is there any tutorial for usage/workflow of InDesign & InCopy.
thanks for your time..
regards
There are several courses on lynda.com that teach precisely this. Here you can find a course by Anne-Marie Concepción called Collaborative Workflows with InDesign and InCopy.
