Hello. After reading this article about stroke corner effects (https://creativepro.com/tip-week-corner-stroke-effects.php), I decided to try it out. I’m not having any success at all with getting the styles to apply to my frames. I created the style, but it’s not applying the changes to the selected frame.

I can make it work in the styles panel, but I’m unable to save it as a style for future use.

I opened the stroke panel, then “Stroke Styles.” I created a new style, but I’m unable to apply my stroke to the frame, and even with “preview” is checked, none of my changes affect the frame.

      Thanks for the help!

Are any of the other stroke effects working?

They are working, just not the styles. Maybe I’m just not applying the style to the frame correctly, because when I make changes in the styles box, nothing happens. In the main stroke options though, I see the stroke changes.

First you need to make the new stroke style. Then click Okay and get out of the Stroke Styles dialog box. Then select your object and got to eh Stroke panel. Choose the new stroke style from the drop down. Now, when you go back into the Stroke styles dialog box, check “Preview” and you can see any changes that you make.

The Stroke Styles dialog is box different than all the other styles dialog boxes in that there is no “Apply to Selected” checkbox. So to get alive preview of what you’re doing with the stroke styles is really a 2-step process.

If you’d like, I would be happy to take a look at your file.

Thank you so much. I was missing the drop down box with the different styles, so I never actually applied the new style to my object.
