Hi,
Please can someone help or offer advice. This is driving me CRAZY!
Every single dialogue box in InDesign has the text chopped off. It’s really frustrating, and I don’t know where I can fix this. -

My first move would be to rebuild your preference files: https://creativepro.com/resources/faq#143

David, thanks for your reply.
I have followed the process to rebuild the preference files, but unfortunately I still have the same problem of the text being cut off in the dialog boxes. None of the Creative Suite applications have this issue. Is there a way for me to post screen shots? -

The only way to post images here, currently, is to post them on another site (such as imgur.com) and then paste the URL here.
That’s really weird. I hate to use the “reinstall” word, but it might come to that. But before you do that, I recommend logging into your computer on a different account (such as a Guest account) and running InDesign there to see if the problem goes away. If it does, it might be something else on your system.

Mac or Windows?
I might be barking up the wrong tree, but… I’ve seen similar odd things happen on Macs when there’s a variant of the OS font installed as an InDesign document font (or installed by font manager software). If you can turn off all “special” fonts installed for different projects, does the problem go away?

I’m having the same problem.

This image is from the first panel in Preferences, but just about all the options are truncated. Luckily it isn’t so bad I can’t figure it out.

Also, Rebuilding preferences didn’t work.

As Chris said back in April, it could be a font conflict. I’m not sure what font InDesign uses for it’s dialogue boxes, but if it conflicts with a font you are using for a job (either via suitcase or something, or document fonts folder) that could cause it.
