Ok so I got that it is actually more straight forward than I thought. :)
Aside from editing the dimensions, is there a way to go full screen?
Any further links to what is possible with multi-media and interactivity in fixed layout epubs would be gratefully received.
Cheers

In my lynda.com video title on Creating Fixed Layout EPUBs with InDesign CC, I show how to embed videos as well as link to ones you host yourself.
To embed videos, you need to convert them to h.264 encoding, then use the Media panel to bring them in and add a poster image. Be sure you choose EPUB 3 when you export. This works for both reflowable and fixed-layout epubs.
The ereader device you use has its own programming to “go full screen.” It’s not something you can include in the code. Typically, though, they’ll go full screen as soon as you start to play it.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Anne-Marie, I am currently exploring what is possible with fixed layout and that course looks exactly what I need to go to the next level. I spent a few hours with Jon Bessant at Certitec getting a great intro to fixed layout epubs, and now I have eventually found some time to go further into them I am quite excited by the possibilities.
I have successfully embedded a video with the help of the Media encoder but I can’t get a youtube video to play yet, however, I shall sign up for the lynda course and see where it takes me.
