I’ve created a document that contains videos using InDesign and then published it online using the Publish Online feature (pages 7, 15 & 23)

      https://indd.adobe.com/view/66e98ce3-09df-4f38-a15b-5d1eafab7a8b

The problem I’m having is that the published videos will not display in full screen mode. When the full screen icon is clicked I get a message that says “full screen is unavailable, Learn More”. So I click “Learn More” and it basically tells me either my browser isn’t letting it play in full screen or that the settings in YouTube need to be changed. Neither of these things are true, I’m able to play the video in other places in full screen, just not in the published InDesign document.

Any suggestions on what could be causing this to happen?

That’s interesting! I also cannot see it in full-screen mode. The “learn more” link also suggests as a possibility: “The owner of the website who has embedded a YouTube player has disabled fullscreen.”

So perhaps Adobe doesn’t support it from their servers? I didn’t know that was possible for them to limit. I don’t recall hearing about this before; we’ll have to investigate.

Thanks Dave. I’ve also submitted an Adobe “Wishform” outlining my issue. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long to hear back from them.

I asked Diane Burns, who authored a Lynda.com title on Publish Online, and she said he had this same experience — that it appeared to be a limitation of Publish Online. I agree that it would be very helpful to allow full-screen video!

Thank you for checking on this! I’m hoping since Publish Online is a newer feature that there will be improvements coming soon.

      Thanks again!
