Serge, since the projector is connected to the ersatz, what ever is on the computer in the way of documents or files; PDFs, jegs, pngs, if the apps are on the machine they can be viewed directly from the projector. The projector is just that, a projector. I would use PDFs. I’m sure Adobe Acrobat reader will work with this computer. Or contact someone in France who may suggest the best file format. All the presentation I create are done with Microsoft Powerpoint which can now support imported PDFs. You should also know what screen size the presentation will be projected at. It can be 4:3 standard or 16:9 widescreen, you can than make your layouts for the presentation accordingly. Bonne Chance

If they were saved as spreads in PDF form from ID I don’t believe they can be pulled apart in the PDF.

I tested it and tried what I though would help but no luck.

You could try the crop feature in Acrobat full app needed. I think you can crop odd/even pages, save odd as new file. Do one for even, bring them back as one PDF shift thumbnails around to get consecutive page numbers.

    Hi overskaeg,

first, I would check to see that you are working with 72 ppi(pixels per inch image)

second, iPad screen resolution needs to be 1024 x 768.

third, you will need a layout for both vertical and horizontal layouts if you intend your reader to flip their iPad.

    Start here.

You may have to create that screen the same width as your graphic size, make sure you are using pixels not centimeters to fit the appropriate length.

    If I understand your question.

Here is how I might do it. No text boxes needed.

    Make a 2 row 1 column table.

You can fill the 1st row with color and your heading,

2nd row you can fill with your body copy. Plus rules are independent of each other and can be any size and color

Since you are a newbe this would be the best time to learn to make tables.

    ID tables are very versatile.

    Be brave, jump in.

    Hi Susan B,

I’ve been printing PDF for decades and never came across your problem.

I would check one area, when you go to print your PDF go to the properties button, top right corner of the print window check under the Effect drop down tab and make sure the radio button for actual size is selected.

You might want to check the InDesign printer properties as well.

I just tested a PDF to 5 different printers and the 3×3 is dead center spot on registered from each printer.

Reloading your print drivers may help asa well.

    Good luck

    Hi yjling,

The way I do it is first copy the item I want to paste. Go to the page I want to paste it on. Make sure you check the correct page. Check the the left lower corner of the Indesign window and simply use paste in place. You do have to do each page individually.

I use this all the time. Works great.

    Good Luck.

    Hi Serge,

Apply your master to a document blank page.

Use the key command Mac Shift+command on the item you would like to change. It should become editable and this will not effect your masters. You can change photos, text, color. PC key command is shift control. Once you do this do not apply a new master to this edited page it will overwrite what you just changed. I hope this helps.

Hi Suzerp I’m new to indesign secrets.

Once you export your indesign file as an eps.

Open the file in Ill. highlite the item you want to change.

Go to the Layers pallette select the active item, drill down until you get to clipping path.

Make that layer(clipping path active. here is the kicker, shut the layer off below clipping path that is a raster image which is blocking your clipping path. Select the clipping path make changes.

If you like I can send a screen grab to better explain.

    Good luck

    Ken
