I know it’s trite that “there’s always more to learn,” but it is so true. I’ve been doing this for a long time, but still, every InDesign event I go to, I learn something. Every issue of InDesign Magazine I read, I learn something. And I’m constantly learning stuff from articles and videos around the web, such as…

  • Great selection as always David.

  • Eugene Tyson says:

Easily one of my favourite articles on InDesignSecrets – thanks!

  • Bob Levine says:

I’m shocked that ADE 4.0 got released in its current state, especially the Windows version.

  • Steve Werner says:

It sounds like a top-down decision by Adobe management: We really want to push EPUB 3 Fixed Layout. We need to have an EPUB 3 reader out there, even if it does have lots of flaws!

  • Jim Swift says:

I know this is an old thread, but my question fits here, I think.

I cannot get ADE version 4.5.1 to open ANY fixed-layout epub3 document exported from Indesign CC 2015.3?

  • Jim Swift says:

Many thanks for that test. I did just the same on Windows 10. Like all the times before the epub launched ADE 4.5.1 but the blue wheel spun and eventually got the message ADE V 4.5.1 is not responding. The file opens with no problem on the Ipad and also in Windows 10 on Readium in Chrome.

I had earlier uninstalled and re-install ADE 4.5.1 that that made no difference.
When I add the FXL ebook to the library in ADE and try to launch from there, I get the same result. I don’t even see teh cover image for the epub when it’s in the Library!
