Welcome to Fritz … James Fritz!

We’re happy to welcome long-time InDesignSecrets commenter and all-around InDesign geek, James Fritz, as our newest InDesignSecrets.com blog contributor!

Like Cher and Bono, he’s known to friends and fans simply as “Fritz,” though he says “Jim” is just fine, too.

If you listen to the InDesignSecrets podcast, you may remember that Fritz was the winner of our Quizzler in episode 70 in February 2008. The question was, “How many ways can you add a CMYK swatch to Swatches without using the Swatches panel?” James came up with 200 methods (!) and even after he won the thing, he still added another way in the comments on the show notes!

He just can’t help himself. In real life, Fritz is an Adobe ACE/ACI in basically everything print-related, a designer, the Co-VP of AIGA/Wisconsin, and a busy trainer at C2 Graphics in Milwaukee.

We’re glad you’re here, Fritz!

    Thanks!

I am glad to be a part of ID secrets. Although this probably means I am ineligible for contests.

    Drat…

    How do I resign again?

Outstanding. This is gonna be cool. Welcome, Fritz. Oh, one thing: Did anyone mention the hazing? That comes next. Yes, much hazing.

I think the grand total was 677. Anyway, I volunteered for it. It was part of helping with the new kbsc posters. I like to call it my “hazing.”

The kbsc poster must be the ID equivalent of the spanking machine.
